Here we go then

Many of my students have been urging me for a long time to have a online presence on Internet media which I tried to avoid for a long time because of my teaching commitments for so long. Finally I could no longer resist the temptation to reconnect with the long lost contacts, and here I am with a brand new blog and a Facebook page for all my students to follow.

Technology has evolved in ways one couldn't envision some time back. Within two days of creating a Facebook profile, I was able to connect with 70 people, many of them have grown up in a way that it was difficult for me identifying as to who they were. Nevertheless, I have been able to reconnect with them, delve into their personal stories through their pictures and the comments.

And now that I have experienced the benefits, I plan to remain here, and keep inspiring my students, collaborating with friends and colleagues. I expect that all my students will support this by following my blog and fan page.
